Primate Health Network (PHN)
Mission Statement
The SSA created the Primate Health Network (PHN) to increase the species specific knowledge base of veterinarians who treat primates in private settings, to establish a network of said veterinarians and other medical professionals, to serve as a resource to SSA members when their primates face life-threatening or other major medical conditions, to implement and support projects that will positively impact the health care and/or lives of primates in private settings, collect medical information – a Health Bank database – and to establish recommended protocols for preventative medicine.
